Directions and Local Weather

Delta Airlines has added new once a day, direct service from New York City, via JFK Airport, to the Elmira Corning Regional Airport.  This airport is about 35 minutes from the Ginger Cat B&B!

We're easy to find, but one thing you need to know is that we're physically located in the town of Reading.  Our mailing address is Rock Stream, NY. You need to use this if you're going to do a Mapquest or Google maps search.

WARNING:  For those of you coming from the South and using a GPS system to get here, please be aware that it most likely will advise you to take some back roads (CR12 and CR18).  Don't do this.  Once you are on 14 North (Watkins Rd), continue all the way on 14 North into Watkins Glen. The road is well lit and easy to drive.

CR12 and CR18 are narrow, very curvy, unlit back roads and you will not save any time taking them, especially at night.

Directions from Watkins Glen/South

Route 14N to 14AN (Penn Yan/Dundee)

Go through Reading Center, past the big white church
Take your next LEFT onto Altay Road and we're the 3rd house on the RIGHT.

Directions From the North (West side of Seneca Lake)

Route 14S to 14AN (Penn Yan/Dundee)
Go through Reading Center, past the big white church
Take your next LEFT onto Altay Road and we're the 3rd house on the RIGHT

OR

Route 14A South, through Dundee
Go past Spencer Rd on the LEFT and take your next RIGHT onto Altay Road (It's a dirt road, like a cut-off) and we're the 3rd house on the RIGHT
If you see signs for Route 29, you've gone too far

Directions from the North (East side of Seneca Lake)

Get into Watkins Glen and then take
Route 14N to 14AN (Penn Yan/Dundee)
Go through Reading Center, past the big white church
Take your next LEFT onto Altay Road and we're the 3rd house on the RIGHT.
